the corner is located in a really chill area of the hip & scholarly huertas neighborhood & has equally chill digs.

the only shop worth noting on fuencarral–a touristy shopping street that has given birth to a popular shopping area: el mercado de fuencarral. la calle de fuencarral–located between the happenin’ tribunal neighborhood & the gran via, the busiest street in madrid,–is replete with chain stores (zara, springfield, top shop) & discount shops.
this shop may be the best place in madrid to get that original gift for the person whom you always struggle to find something for–plus you’ll have a lot of fun poking around. located on calle manuela malasana–the main drag of the young, hip, & party-hoppin’ tribunal/malasana neighborhood.

in madrid on a sunday? you better hit up el rastro! madrid’s largest flea market is located in la latina, the bohemian & stylish neighborhood.

beware! it can get really crowded, but the people-watching, rare finds, & free entertainment from talented street musicians makes all the elbowing & toe-stepping entirely worth it.
